How long does it take?
The entire process takes about 20 minutes: upload your resume (1 min), answer 3 foundational questions (2 mins), complete experience deep-dive (8 mins), personality assessment (5 mins), and program preferences (4 mins). Your reports generate in 8-10 minutes while you wait.
How is this different from just using ChatGPT?
A general chat model gives generic advice because it is not built around admissions strategy. GradIntel uses Claude Sonnet 5.5 for positioning, program recommendations, and essays, and Claude Haiku 5.5 to parse your resume and write the questions. The system identifies specific gaps, matches you to programs, and generates interview questions from your own materials.
What's the difference between Dashboard and Narrative reports?
The dashboard, written by Claude Sonnet 5.5, gives you the positioning view: strengths, gaps, program fit, and interview questions. Essays are also written by Claude Sonnet 5.5 from the structure and answers you confirm. Resume parsing and the question sets use Claude Haiku 5.5.
How accurate is the AI analysis?
Reports, recommendations, and essays use Claude Sonnet 5.5. Faculty recommendations are cross-checked by Gemini 3.6 Flash against publication data, not generated from model memory alone. Accuracy still depends on the quality of your resume and answers. Treat the analysis as a strategic advisor, not a decision you should follow without checking the schools yourself.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. For the $19 single report plan, we offer a 48-hour satisfaction guarantee. For monthly subscriptions, you can request a full refund within 7 days of your first charge. Can I edit or regenerate the reports?
Reports are downloadable as PDF, which you can edit in any document editor (Word, Google Docs, etc.). Currently, you cannot regenerate specific sections in-app, but you can generate a new report if your profile changes significantly (e.g., after gaining new experience or refining your goals).
